When did the Shared Factory open?<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Since early 2024, the Shared Factory has been officially open in a beta version for fashion labels, designers, and brands. You can request a \u2192 demo version<\/a> here and be among the first to produce your own knitwear collection on demand.<\/p>\n

Can I use my own material or yarn in the Shared Factory?<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

We only use materials with minimal environmental impact and maximum animal and health protection. Therefore, blended yarns with synthetic components are excluded, as they are harder to recycle and contain harmful substances.<\/p>\n

Currently, we exclusively use RWS-certified merino wool because we believe it offers the best quality and is healthy for animals and people.<\/p>\n

However, we are open to materials that meet or exceed these standards. Just get in touch with us, and we can discuss your ideas.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

How transparent is your yarn supply chain?<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

We plan to make our supply chain 100% transparent by the time the Shared Factory opens. We view this research as part of our product development. We will report on our journey to find the best material for responsible knitwear production on our \u2192 LinkedIn<\/a>– and \u2192 Instagram<\/a> channels<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

How are the yarns from the Shared Factory certified?<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Our merino wool carries the RWS label, primarily a welfare certification. Cruel practices such as mulesing and branding are prohibited. The RWS label certifies labor, animal, and environmental protection across the entire supply chain \u2013 from the farm to the spinning mill to the knitting factory. More information about the RWS label can be found \u2192 here.<\/a><\/p>\n

However, our material research is not yet complete. As part of developing the beta version, we are seeking the best possible yarn in terms of animal and environmental protection.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\n\n\t

Your Collection in the Shared Factory<\/h2>\n\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

How can I produce a design in the Shared Factory?<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

To produce a design in the Shared Factory, you first need to digitize it. We provide a configurator that captures the measurements of your design. You can then further edit the measurements, add patterns and colors, and include details like cuffs, collars, or zippers. All this can be done easily, quickly, and intuitively with our interface.<\/p>\n

At the end, you\u2019ll have a digital version of your design that can be produced on a knitting machine. Save this knitting program in your collection. When a customer orders a product from your online store or you want to produce a set quantity of your design in the Shared Factory, you can upload the product to the knitting machine via your account and place it in the production queue.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

How does sampling work?<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

You can load a sample of your design onto the knitting machine at any time. The sample will be produced and sent to you. This ensures that your product looks and feels exactly as you envision. There is no need for an elaborate sampling process typically required at the beginning of developing a knitwear collection.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Sizes and Product Variants<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Once your product is digitized, our software calculates the sizes you want and creates corresponding product variants. You can then further edit these variants if necessary.<\/p>\n

You can also create variants for different colors and
